Bathroom Remodel Tysons Corner, Virginia: A Case Study
Surdus Remodeling remodeled two bathrooms in this Tysons Corner home: a hallway bathroom and the master bathroom.
Hallway bathroom
The hallway bathroom work included a new 30-by-60-inch bathtub, recessed niches, tile, a marble threshold, vanity, medicine cabinet, accessories and baseboards.
Master bathroom
The master bathroom included a 48-by-36-inch shower base, niches, tile, pedestal sink, medicine cabinet, accessories, baseboards and a sliding shower door.
The project also involved plumbing and electrical relocation as required by the new layouts and fixtures, followed by fresh paint and finish work.

Planning lessons from this project
Remodeling two bathrooms in one home requires coordinated selections and scheduling. Tub and shower dimensions, niche locations, door operation, plumbing changes and electrical work should be confirmed for each room before finishes are installed. Even bathrooms in the same house may need different solutions because their layouts and daily uses are different.
This project also shows why fixture sizes matter. A bathtub, shower base, vanity or medicine cabinet should be selected with the surrounding clearances and finished surfaces in mind—not treated as an isolated purchase. Product specifications should be confirmed before rough plumbing and framing are finalized.
